M34, by Archambault

The M34, the new OD for the Tour de France à la voile 2011 is now under construction. The Archambault ship yard has been chosen last summer and put an incredible energy to finalise this project which is likely different from starting point. The work with the designers Bernard Nivelt and Alexandre Mercier gave the opportunity to up-grade some of the options.
At the back the hull is now marked by a breadth giving making the shape more aggressive. On the deck ,the roof has been down-sized and its sides mostly incurved to get the best genoa angle streaming and nice traveller position. 6 Harken winches will take place in the cockpit and the two mains are sloped to work in a high level of ergonomic. The Two parts carbon mast comes from Southern Parts. This mast is fully designed for both easy sailing and trucking. At this stage, hull and decks models are under construction.
